Fabrics of the Future: CNBC’s Tania Bryer explores companies creating new fabrics for a more sustainable fashion industry.

The companies includes Rubi Laboratories, a startup that creates material from captured carbon, and Bolt Threads, which produces leather using mycelium, the roots of mushrooms. The fashion startups are taking inspiration from nature in order to save it.

Our CEO Laila Petrie was interviewed and has explained how polluting the textile industry is, “The industry itself is about 2,8% of the world GHG emissions” she said. Also mentioned that a there is a whole range of environmental impact derived from the fabric productions.
